Always be able to learn and if you can not understand what is said, do not be afraid to ask questions, that is the only way to learn.
It does not matter what age we are or what education we have if we do no fully understand the concept of what we are trying to learn, then we always be at a loss.
We need to understand that not only in ourself but also when we are having a conversation with someone else.
We must ensure too things . 1 First there is no distraction
2.The person can hear you clearly
3. The person can understand what you are saying
4. Is he is able to repeat back to you what is said.
5. Does the person have the ability to do the task

There are many factors that come into place just to do a what we might consider a simple procedure.
Like going to make a cup of coffee.
Do you know where the coffee is and recognize that it is a can of coffee.
Where do you put the coffee and how much?
Where do you put the water, where do you put the filter?
How Much water do you put in and where?
How do you turn on the coffee pot?
Just very simple steps but if you did not have the knowledge you could not do what we would consider a simple task.

The brain areas that are responsible for thinking and co ordinating this task involves several areas of the brain. If one is damaged or the nerve endings do not pick up from one to the other, it lost in a mess of tangles. That is what happens when someone has dementia.

Are you in the sandwich generation?

First of all one must have or develop a sense of humour to be able to go through the days when our parents need our help.
At this stage in a woman's life it is possible at this time you experiencing different areas or time frames in your life.

1. Your parents are aging and health wise becoming fragile and need your help on a daily basis.
2. You have children in college or high school or in the public school system
3. You are a teacher/mom who are home schooling your children
4. You are a working Mom with a job outside of home or a home working home based Mom

You are possible have to deal with your own health issues or menopause issues of life changes.

All of these combined as woman we play many roles each and every day, as we are a wife, Mother, Caregiver, daughter.

It is difficult to juggle the never ending tasks that require our attention to detail and organization each and every day. When one of these areas demand more of our time we are at a loss and don't know how to deal with life. It is so over whelming and you fall deeper into the well of depression and apathy of how to cope and exhaustion.

Now with the down turn of the economy you might be the only one with a job and bring home a pay cheque. Your spouse can come home one day and say ,"They gave me a pink slip and I am going to be out of a job." Due to no fault of his own companies are closing and downsizing departments to stay afloat.

Your parents my need your help with basic tasks or need arrangements made to leave their home due to health and rising expenses. It is possible that the home is becoming an unsafe place to be and you can not be there 24 hours a day. Then the situation arises does your parent come live with you, it can be a death of their spouse that causes the upheaval. You may find the task of hiring a home maker or other services to be provided and if you do not live in the same city or state a much more of a difficulty to face.

Your spouse may also develop an illness that requires your full time attention as his health can change in a heart beat. It might be due to an accident , health, military deployment that caused the injury. The change in health can be physical or a mental decline and both require a new journey together for the both of you to approach.

You may be facing a problem with a teenager at this stage in their life hormones are racing and their peer pressure to fit into a group. It might be that your child is exposed to being part of a gang. You also need to be aware of who their friends are on and off line.

A computer in their bedroom is not a good idea and having a web cam just exposes your child to a possible danger. With technology also comes the ability to be approached by text message to their cell phone or photos shared sometimes with friends .

It is possible on a dare that pictures are flashed that are sexual and the person receiving them is not a friend but a preditor to lure your teen into danger.

With everyone reading this article I know all of you will identify with one area and going "Ohh, yes I know what you are talking about."

You must take care of you and start delegating tasks in the house such as meal preparation and house keeping and shopping. House hold expenses each person in the household needs to know how to conserve money and what are items that are needed and others that are a luxury.

Take time for you each and every day just to have some quiet time even if it is only for fifteen minutes out of the day.
